JOB SUMMARY:
As the leading poverty fighting and humanitarian charity, CARE's 2030 strategy will see us deliver epic impact through gender equal, locally led and globally scaled programs across 100 countries. Our continued ability to help those most in need will depend on increasing our funding and the Proposal Technical Writer will play a vital role in helping CARE realize its ambition of reaching $1B in annual revenue. The Proposal Technical Writer supports CARE's fundraising efforts writing high value, multi-sector USG proposals for CARE's programs. As a key member of the Resource Development Content Team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Writer will collaborate with multiple technical teams based at global and country levels to document CARE's evidence base, strategic approaches, and program design, while also supporting contextualization of these solutions to write winning proposals.
CARE is looking for a strong writer who understands international development contexts and programming and can "connect all the dots" to pull together teams, resources, and winning proposals to USG agencies. Experience and familiarity with USAID strategies (localization, systems strengthening, governance), funding trends, and bid process is essential. Expertise in one of CARE's programmatic areas, with particular interest in candidates who have worked on Food and Water Systems or Climate proposals is highly sought. If you are the kind of person who can synthesize and translate international development approaches into strong technical proposals that align with USG requirements and differentiate CARE from other NGOs, apply to be part of our growing Content team!
