Care Supply, a Colony division is Hiring a Lead Rebar Fabricator Near Nashville, TN

Description

  • Roles and responsibilities:
    • Support sales representatives with customer service, project management, and problem solving.
    • Monitor fulfillment of sales orders to ensure accuracy in accordance with Colony standard operating procedures and advise salespeople on aspects of job so they can appropriately quote.
    • Coordinate all estimating and detailing (with our Rebar Coordinators) for rebar shop drawings and communicate with job site and shop personnel, as well as ironworkers, customers, and sales team.
    • Facilitate production schedules to meet customer needs and maximize shop productivity.
    • Ensure adequate replenishment of inventory to meet production demands (working with purchasing manager) and replenish rebar, bar supports, and accessories for upcoming work.
    • Maintain documentation and records for each job.
    • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping of the area, and meeting production quality and quantity standards in the designated functional area.
    • Oversee daily work assignments, and work schedules so that the most efficient use is made of all resources and equipment. 
    • Troubleshoot production problems encountered by workers so that delays are minimized and equipment functions as safely and efficiently as possible.
    • Oversee maintenance on shop equipment in the designated functional area so that downtime is minimized and equipment functions as safely as possible.
    • Perform quality inspections of completed work so that the correct quantity of correctly fabricated and correctly tagged material will be shipped to the proper customer’s destination.
    • Perform various jobs such as operation of sheer, bender, crane operator, car puller, fork-lift operator, etc. so that shift work is done efficiently and on time.
    • Perform other duties as requested by the Operations Manager.

    What You’ll Need to Have for success:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Experience in Rebar / Concrete / Masonry
    • Ability to communicate with branch personnel and customers.
    • Ability to safely lift and manage up to 50 lbs., including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing up/down trucks, etc.
    • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
    • Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and work both independently and as part of a team
    • Effectively use a Table bender, Shearline, a crane, and forklifts.
    • Proficient with ASA programs and reading blueprint
