Staffing Strategies is a temporary staffing company located in Greenwood, IN. We assist our clients with temporary staffing needs by covering for vacations, call ins and temporary vacancies up to 13 week assignments. Our clients are located across the state of Indiana. We are seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to assist a Skilled Nursing Facility up to a 13 week assignment.
Nature of the work:
The occupational therapist develops implements and coordinates a occupational therapy program. They provide screening, evaluation and intervention services. Skilled provision of occupational therapy prevents injury (acute or chronic).Working with patients with disabilities and serious health impairments, the occupational therapist is expected to analyze risk, problem solve effectively and demonstrate a high level of professional judgment when recommending and providing services, making environmental modifications and training patients to manage their occupational needs.
Direct supervision may be exercised over support personnel and must be provided to certified occupational therapy assistants. Consultation with patients, families, physicians and clients is also an essential component of the occupational therapist’s roles/responsibilities.
The occupational therapist, though working as a team member serving patients, is autonomous in applying principles of occupational therapy and responsible for working within the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act and other legal mandates

What are the requirements?
Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Valid Indiana Occupational Therapy License
Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred
