Applicant must have a current nursing license in the state of Nebraska (RN/LPN), an enthusiastic attitude, a love for helping provide restorative care to our residents, and a desire to learn and grow with our company. We want professional nurses who are comfortable in reassuring residents, families, staff, and able to effectively and efficiently communicate with the clinical team at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in nursing staff hiring process to include responsibilities for recruitment, interviewing, and selection of these positions in collaboration with HR. ADON, and DON
  • Assists HR in ensuring the validity of all nursing staff licenses throough state board of nursing during pre-hire and as needed. Ensures the validity of certificates and their good standing for all CNAs hired
  • Maintains files of lesson plans for all programs taught to facility staff and ensures training records are retained per company retention policies. Communicates availability of learning opportunities whether on-site and on-line
  • Ensure completion of Orientation Skills Return Demonstration Checklist on all new nursing staff, validation that new staff are competent to perform all resident care taska they will be assigned prior to providing direct resident care
  • Provides skill training to any nursing staff that are deficient in any skill area on Orientation Skills Checklist
  • Develop positive relationship with government regulators, families, area healthcare community, school of nursing and other allied health programs, and the community at large on behalf of the facility
  • Participates as a member of Safety Committee to identify training needs of staff if required by facility
  • Member of QAPI Committee.
  • Participates on Clinical Start-up and Department Head Stand Up Meetings
