Federal Technician | Oahu - ADAD

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Director the Federal Technician observes, collects and tests urine samples submitted by Consumers. Prepares drug urine specimens for shipment to contracted lab for comprehensive testing.... Communicates with stakeholders on test results. Prepares reports, forms and documents as directed by supervisor/contracts.

Position Qualification:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Field-of-Expertise: May have related training or work experience, and life experience
• Required Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (renew upon its expiration)
• CPR
• First Aid
• CPI (at time of hire)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observes, collects and test urine samples by clients
• Fills out all paperwork and logs associated with the client's drug test
• Ensures that clients do not take anything into the drug testing room with them
• Report any notable information to the probation officer or appropriate party
• Assist with entering drug test results received into data base system
• Prepare logs and boxes for the purpose of the samples being effectively shipped
• Maintains inventory and assist with supply orders
• Maintains positive working relationships with persons, agencies, and other units of the criminal justice system who come in contact with the court service organization
• Assist with routine maintenance of drug testing paperwork and equipment as well as clean up
• Ability to accurately maintain records
• Possess good organizational skills
• Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals coming into contact with the court service organization
• Possess good oral/written communication skills
• Possess basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to work varied schedule
• Possess basic knowledge of the criminal justice system
• Participate in agency training/meeting (mandatory forty (40) hours per year)
