ER Doctor Assistants play an integral role in our hospital whether they are assisting doctors, writing medical records or providing top notch communication to pet owners. They care equally about the patients and the people who love them, striving to provide the best possible care.
Ideal Candidate:
High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
Veterinary clinical experience 2 years required.
ER clinical experience preferred.
Ability to type 40 words/min.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records and electronic medical systems.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments.
Critical thinking – Understanding the logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, not allowing emotions to overwhelm attitude and/or performance.
Ability to foster a positive work environment for colleagues and clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
