Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and professional development.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support to students with special education needs or early intervention requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist in the supervision and management of students during classroom activities
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create engaging lesson plans and educational materials
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the lead teacher
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents/guardians
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development
