At Care-A-Lot and Bloom Creative Arts we celebrate differences and focus on building relationships between children and teachers. Our team is more like a family and we're looking for an energetic, caring, and dedicated person to join us.

The special education teaching assistant works under the direction of Lead Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate early education programming for young children who have special needs and children who are typically developing. Would consider someone for the part time hours of 10:30a-2pm, M-F.

Essential Job Functions:

  • The Special Education Teacher Assistant helps teacher in preparing and implementing daily activities
  • The Special Education Teaching Assistant maintains cooperative relationships and clear, positive communication with staff, children, families, and support professionals
  • The Special EducationTeacher Assistant provides personal care to children as needed
  • The Special EducationTeaching Assistant ensures safety of children at all times and across all learning environments.
  • The Special Education Teacher Assistant maintains health and safety practices in accordance with state and local regulatory guidelines.

Education/ Experience requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
  • Minimum 1 year verifiable experience in licensed child care setting preferred
  • Experience providing services to children with disabilities preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
