Position Summary:This position is responsible for performing analysis of technical specifications, test design and execution for complex custom developed software in order to meet overall quality targets for acceptance by internal and external Clients. The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, develops and writes test cases using various tools, supports the development team in the in the execution of manual and automated testing solutions and the resolution of defects to support contractual delivery obligations and SLA’s.Essential Functions:Represents the QA function as a core member of the Development organization to analyze technical specifications, create and execute test plans and scenarios for custom developed software solutions using both manual and automated test processesComplies with development and operational Policies and Procedures in support of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Audit and security requirementsWork with the project lead on Microsoft SQL Server Management Module to build test accounts needed for product testing.Perform assigned tasks related to test design, test execution by being an integral member of the Technology Development Team.Is able to independently make use of team identified Defect Management System and successful performs effective defect management through the project lifecycle.Contributes to the development and implementation of SQA standards, processes, procedures and documentationPrepares summarized test reports to be consumed by Project LeadAbility to work on company identified Automation tools and execute Automation scriptsWork with team members to update existing scriptsSupports multiple projects on a day-to-day basisParticipates in Development Team and Project-oriented meetingsPerforms integration, system and functional testing on development projectsEducation and Experience:Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required or four (4) years of related experienceAt least Two (2) years of API Testing experience with tools such as SoapUI, PostmanMinimum Four (4) years of manual testing is requiredWeb based application experience is requiredProficient in usage of Test Management tools such as JIRA and Team Foundation ServerProficient in usage of Microsoft SQL Server Management StudioExcellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Financial Services Industry and/or Credit Card added experienceSummary of Qualifications:Strong background in SQA processes and SDLC; including requirements analysis, test design, test case validation, defect management and reporting.Proficient in usage of Test Management tools such as JIRA and Team Foundation ServerProficient in usage of Microsoft SQL Server Management StudioProficient in MS Office software is mandatoryFamiliarity with Credit Card and Installment Loan business processes are a plus but not requiredEffective in understanding process details and working across multiple teams to formulate and execute test casesAbility to manage multiple short and long term project tasks in parallel within timeframes assigned based upon Client and project deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essentialAbility to create accurate and understandable test case documentation for complex functions and processesAssist in identification of technical impact and task/schedule implications for project planning purposesAbility to work independently and as a team member to interpret needs and translation into testing requirements and plansProblem solving capabilities and ability to focus on root cause and resolutionAbility to effectively communicate with others and to assimilate and understand business and technical information, in a manner consistent with essential job functionsAbility to compose communications, written or verbal to fit the needs of the audienceAbility to work under pressure and support the delivery of Client and Operational solutions within stringent deadlinesFlexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace without every detail documented and locked downAbility to interface with team members in a professional and understandable mannerAdvanced written and verbal communication skills.
