The Communications Specialist II will be responsible for coordinating and supporting communications across the CardWorks group of companies to drive tactical and strategic messages. As we evolve communications at CardWorks, the Specialist II will contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing support of new and existing communications channels and platforms. Working closely with the Directors and SVP of Communications, the Specialist II will write and deliver appropriate content for multiple types of communications via various channels. The Specialist II will be a key contributor to the day-to-day support and organization of the Communications department infrastructure, workflow, and overall team operations and will provide support for the planning and execution of internal and external corporate activities and events. This person will also bring data and analytics to Communications, leveraging current and suggested tools to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns for continuous improvement. Essential Functions: Writing and Content DevelopmentWrites, edits, coordinates, and distributes various communications such as: online news, email, multimedia, print, activities and events, memos/updates, policy and procedures, announcements, corporate correspondence, and other publications.Develops content for various platforms including Company intranet, external website, companywide and target audience emails, and internal communications platform.Adheres to the Company’s style and brand guidelines to ensure high-quality and error-free copy. Data and AnalyticsLeverages data and analytics to provide analysis and summary reporting on effectiveness of communications and opportunities for improvement of communications initiatives.Conducts research on and evaluation of potential new communications tools, platforms, and resources to improve communications strategy and execution. Event SupportAssists with internal and external event planning, scheduling, and execution such as employee events, leadership conferences, virtual/in-person/hybrid all hands, town halls, lunch & learns, webinars and other company events. OrganizationManages and maintains team communications, assets, and other resources such as emails, intake forms (surveys, RSVPs/registrations, feedback, etc.), graphics library, trivia bank, templates, Style Guide, Playbook, etc). Monitors and triages shared mailboxes and Communications Request Forms.Schedules team-related meetings with internal and external business partners and stakeholders and manages the Communications team editorial calendar and project tracker.Helps handle invoices and expenses. Teamwork and CollaborationBuilds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise.Coordinates with various internal functional areas and key stakeholders to develop and execute consistent messaging that represents the Company’s brand and in line with the Company’s strategy, goals, and mission.Handles communication requests in a prompt, efficient, courteous, and effective manner.Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with a minimum (2) of years of writing, editing/copy-editing, and communications strategy development experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism field required.Experience in financial services is desirable. Summary of Qualifications:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Solid command of writing essentials for the business environment.Ability to translate complex messages and concepts into digestible, broad-reaching communications.Content writing experience with an understanding of various communications channels and platforms and the ability to create appropriate content.Ability to gather, analyze, and report out data and metrics as a valuable story.Video/Multimedia editing and content creation and graphic design skills.Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and judgement skills.Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.Creative mind-set with a strategic vision.Detail-oriented with an eye for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.Highly computer literate with strong capability in email/Outlook, MS Teams, Microsoft Office 365 applications, and other related business and communications tools, systems, applications, and platforms. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
