Position Summary:This position is responsible for working both fraud and dispute files to determine if further chargeback rights exist, in accordance with the Association Rules and Regulations, and to minimize losses on fraud accounts.Essential Functions:• Investigations the reversing of credit and/or debit card charges disputed by the account holder• Handles calls, makes sound decisions and takes appropriate actions to act in the best interest of our clients and company • Handles any exception issues from management, clients, or other areas of the company• Advises management of any potential errors caused by an associate’s coding error or changes in the Association Rules• Provides feedback on trends that they have observed while working both fraud and dispute representment files, system problems, or any other event that may impact our ability to perform our business as usual• Works all representments, compliance and arbitration cases within the Association time frames for both disputes and fraud files• Performs other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:• High School Diploma or equivalent required• Up to two (2) years of related credit card Security/Fraud investigations and security/dispute chargeback, banking and or collection experience preferred• A working knowledge of Visa and MasterCard Rules and Regulations related to Security and Dispute Chargebacks preferredSummary of Qualifications:• Keyboarding proficiency• Familiarity with Windows based computer applications• Skilled in negotiating, including the ability to persuade and modify opinions to reach goals• Ability to work under pressure; flexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace• Ability to handle an increased work load based on experience, knowledge, and expanded skill set levels• Ability to multi-task is essential• Effectively and efficiently communicate both through verbal and written channels in a way that others are able to understand the information in a manner consistent with the essential job functions• Ability to handle and diffuse escalated call situations• Ability to participate in conference calls with clients as needed and speak on subject that they are experienced enough to discuss in detail• Ability to consistently make decisions regarding claims and recognizing when to escalate to the next level on a repetitive basis
