As a General Ledger Accounting & Reconciliation Associate you will provide general accounting processes for our clients. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations for general ledger suspense accounts and various reporting activates.Essential Functions:Prepares daily journal entries to the general ledger accountsEnsures the settlement screens balance dailyReconciles clients General Ledger accountsIdentifies discrepancies between figures calculated in a reconciliationParticipates on calls with clients and be able to discuss all reconciliation records effectivelyDelivers report data to clients for their approvalKeeps manager apprised of status workloads and any potential or unusual developmentsResponds to clients and client liaisons inquiries, as well as other departmentsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) desired, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experienceGeneral accounting knowledge including debits, credits and general ledger balancingPrevious research and account reconciliation experience1 years of experience in credit, accounting, bookkeeping and or accounts payableSummary of Qualifications:Strong Windows based computer application skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to communicate well with others verbally and in writingAbility to multi-taskDetail orientedWork Environment/Physical Demands:Work is in an office environment, sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; works with computer equipment for prolonged periods of timeSome stress may occurTravel is not requiredThis position typically reports to a Manager lever or higherAdditional working hours may be necessary, on occasion, as needs dictate
