The Cardiovascular Consultants of Cape Cod is a thriving private practice, we have two locations, and we are devoted to the diagnosis, care and management of our patients.
We are currently hiring 2 Medical Receptionist all full-time positions. This is a very fast paced detail-oriented position.
As a Medical Receptionist you are the first face or voice our patients will see or hear. you will be responsible for providing assistance to our patients, providers and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth process and create a warm inviting environment for our very busy Cardiology and Cardiac testing department.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service, greet patients, accurately check-in/check-out patients, obtain current and up to date demographics, patient registration and health insurance. Check insurance eligibility and obtain referrals.
Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
Collection of co-pays, self pays and outstanding balances.
Scanning of documents, insurance cards and other necessary information.
Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs in a timely manner.
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability.
Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for either on-site or off-site services.
Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
Understand OSHA and HIPAA policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required.
1 years' experience in a medical setting
Familiarity with ECW a plus
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
Flexibility is a requirement as we have two location and coverage for fellow staff members to ensure the needs of the office are met daily.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
