Cardinale Automotive Group is looking for an experience accountant to help assist our CFO with our multi-dealership company. No automotive experience is required but it would help give a step up above other candidates. This position is located at our corporate office. Relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidate. Under the supervision of the CFO, the experienced accountant will be responsible for balancing end of month books, financial reporting, sales tax, and assisting in overseeing stores' financial documents. Ideal candidates should have a degree in accounting and extensive knowledge of California sales tax.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily, weekly and monthly payroll department operations
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and continuously review reports
• Ensure financial compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Prepare, verify, and process invoices
• Assist with accounting and financial questions from vendors, customers, and staff
• Ability to research and interpret data as well as prepare financial reports
• Assist with preparing monthly reconciliation for all accounts including bank reconciliations and documentation
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• 3 years of accounting experience
• Experience and proven success in all payroll functions
• Highly proficient in Excel and Outlook
• Superb decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and managerial skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
