Cardinal Senior Management is Hiring a Transportation Aide Near Kulpmont, PA
- Ensuring resident’s privacy, respect, dignity and their rights are protected as per State and Federal regulations.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all matters pertaining to resident’s status.
- Coordinating the transportation schedule for resident doctor appointments, ensuring that all residents arrive and depart from appointments in a timely manner.
- Coordinating routes and number of appointments to maximize timeliness of transportation schedule.
- Assisting with getting residents ready for appointments, as needed, including getting coat on, bringing resident from their room, etc.
- Communicating information to and from the doctors’ offices with Nursing Staff to ensure ease and clarity; this includes asking questions and delivering paperwork.
- Performing routine audits on vehicles to ensure safety; reports needed repairs to Maintenance Department and others, as needed.
- Driving company vehicles in a manner that reflects professionalism and compliance with all laws and regulations; represents Cardinal Senior Management to the community in a courteous, appropriate manner.
- Assisting with scheduling of appointments and other functions as appropriate.
- All other duties as specified.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a must.
- Individuals in this position must have obtained age twenty-five (25) prior to first day of employment
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certification, or willingness to be trained by Cardinal Senior Management during employment.
- Safe motor vehicle operation record that is considered acceptable to Cardinal Senior Management.
- Knowledge of local geography including information on most economical routes.
- Ability to complete the necessary physical movements to move residents by wheelchair and assist in getting into and out of a vehicle.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating a motor vehicle.
- Has the ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull residents in wheelchairs; is physically able to assist with transferring residents into and out of vehicles and onto and off of toilets, chairs, etc.
- Previous experience with transports or equivalent is a must.
- Previous experience in a nursing environment is preferred.
- Must be flexible with hours Monday-Friday
