Unarmed Security Officer

Cardinal Point Security Group has an immediate need for a Unarmed Security Officer. The Security Officer will be responsible for providing a safe environment for employees and customers.

Pay rate: $17.00 per hour

Location: Scranton, PA

Shift: 
Thursdays 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Fridays 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Saturdays 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Arrive on time and in full uniform.
• Notify the Manager on duty of their arrival and must punch in. At shift end, the Officer must notify the Manager on duty of their departure and punch out.
• Provides a visual deterrent by foot patrolling the interior and exterior of the location in order to provide a safe environment for employees and customers.
• Performs foot patrols at least every thirty minutes. The management team member at the location may request additional patrols, and the Officer must comply with the request.
• At no time during the shift is the Officer permitted to leave the property.
• The Officer is NOT permitted to sit in his/her vehicle unless pre-arranged site-specific orders have been requested by the Loss Investigation Supervisor.
• Enforces company No Loitering Policy
• The Officer is responsible for controlling or removing customers who are harassing or using offensive language with an employee, and at the employee’s request.
• Provides statements and information necessary to complete Accident/Incident Reports as necessary to the Manager on duty.
• Stands in a specific area or patrols a specific area as requested by Manager
• Escorts employee(s) to the dumpster when removing trash from the store to place in the dumpster.
• Escorts employees to their vehicles upon request
• Observes all company specific security procedures

Basic Requirements: 

• Must have at least four years of working experience in security.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is a must.
• Reliable means of communication (active smartphone with the ability to download apps).
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written).
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of every shift.
• Must have a friendly, outgoing personality, and work well with others.
• Must be professional and courteous
