Cardiac Renal & Vascular Associates is Hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist Near Jackson, MS

Duties include:

  • Answer all incoming calls professionally and route them to the appropriate staff.
  • Welcome patients warmly personally or by telephone, and explain and explain payment categories, and billing procedures.
  • Determines through conducting a financial screening, the category of payment before provider visit
  • Register all patients per registration protocols and collection all documentation and billing information per billing protocol.
  • Ensure proper data collection documentation
  • Reviews and verifies patient coverage of insurance or other agencies and computes the charges to be paid by the patient.
  • Collects deposits or co-pays/deductibles prior to the patient being seen by the provider per established policies and procedures
  • Inform patient of their outstanding balance, collect balances, and issue cash receipt when monies are collected.
  • Balance cash box in accordance with the cash handling policy.
  • Deposits collections at the end of the day at specified bank daily
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Call and remind patients of their appointments.
  • Work closely with Medical and Nursing staff to assure smooth patient flow and cut down on waiting time
  • Distribute Clinic Visit Summary at the end of each visit.
  • All other duties and responsibilities requested by the supervisor'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
