Carbon6 is Hiring a Remote Product Manager

The Opportunity (Open to Hybrid or In-Person)
Do you lie awake at night, thinking about how to turn that next great idea into reality? Do you love working with teams and turning whiteboard sketches into working proof of concepts, MVPs, and feature-rich products? Are you excited when you learn a new tidbit from a customer conversation? If these ring true, then you might be our next product manager! We are looking for an experienced, hungry, data-driven product manager to dig deeply into several of our industry-leading Amazon marketplace tools.
You will drive outcomes by assessing our customers' needs in a structured way that prioritizes data and requests from our customers as well as internal stakeholders and executive team. You will work hand-in-hand with our engineering teams and collaborate on multiple product lines. Through a combination of collaboration, planning, and robust Agile ceremonies, you will increment quickly, move fast and break things, and ultimately have the opportunity to deeply affect our products and continuing success.
Your Impact
  • Obsessively Focus on Customer Needs: Develop a deep and specific understanding of our customers by collecting and analyzing feedback over a multitude of customers, transforming insights into requirements, features, and ultimately, products.
  • Break Down Silos: Work hand-in-hand not just with product and design, but engineering. Insist on your team being your team, not engineering and product and design and QA. Further, collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure that all of our efforts are company efforts.
  • Manage a Product Through Its Complete Lifecycle: Utilize an Agile SDLC along with a broader view starting at idea conception and running through maintenance to truly own your product lines–whether they are future, present, or past.
  • Drive Measurable Decision-Making and Outcomes: Build based on data, not just vague hopes and dreams. From customer surveys and insights to stakeholder feedback to KPIs, user visits, feature utilization, and ultimately ROI, you will act based on and upon objective data.
  • Communicate with Everyone: We move fast, and things change often. Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and updates to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in at all levels.
Your Qualifications
  • Demonstrable Product Experience: You have at least 3 years of professional product management experience, preferably in a SaaS or e-commerce environment. You have specific product lines that you have managed and those products/ features are in production today.
  • Strong Technical Background: You will interact with engineers every single day, and it's not enough to just trust them to make great decisions. You have a technical understanding that allows you to interact with them in meaningful ways.
  • Exceptional Written Communication Skills: We move fast, but we value documentation. Your ideas must be written down, and not just in Slack messages. You can write product briefs, roadmaps, release strategies, and emails that are clear, concise, direct, and understandable. In fact, you enjoy writing, and it is not just a necessary evil.
  • Adaptability and Resourcefulness: You love and thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a scrappy and curious attitude to achieve results effectively. You are comfortable with the discomfort of uncertainty and change that is common in a fast-growing organization.
  • Design Skills for Collaboration: You can create initial sketches and even low-fi wireframes to facilitate collaborating with design and cross-functional teams to execute the product roadmap.
  • Continuous Learning: You're constantly learning, actively seeking and embracing feedback from both internal and external stakeholders. You are dedicated to personal and professional growth, constantly striving to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's continuous improvement.
