CAPY Tech Solutions is Hiring a GIS Specialist Near Houston, TX

GIS Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement web-based GIS applications using Experience Builder.
  • Work closely with GIS analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
  • Develop, customize, and configure Experience Builder widgets, themes, and templates.
  • Integrate GIS applications with other systems and databases.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of GIS applications.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Stay up to date with the latest GIS and Experience Builder trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Strong technical expertise in Experience Builder.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, NodeJS and other web development technologies.
  • Experience with GIS software such.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other Esri products such as ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder for ArcGIS, or ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience with mobile GIS development.
  • GIS certification (e.g., Esri Technical Certification).

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Houston, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person
