Capstone Precision Group Career Center is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Bay, MS

The CNC Machinist works to ensure all machines on the shop floor are running correctly, while determining any offset adjustments needed. The CNC Machinist must maintain a high-quality consciousness.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Candidate must be able to perform set-ups on various CNC lathe machines such as: Haas, Brother, Takamaz.
  • Candidate must be capable of maintaining tolerances and drawing and specification requirements and adjusting CNC equipment as required.
  • Familiar with Fanuc and Haas Controls
  • Multitask between production and R&D projects
  • Perform off-set changes to machines
  • Light maintenance to CNC machines
  • Work independently with little to no supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in CNC machining
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to measure using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under limited supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position requires extended periods of standing. Candidate must be capable of standing for the length of their shift.
  • Candidate must be capable of lifting and transferring materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grab, pull, and work with hands

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shift
  • Second shift (3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.)
  • Monday through Thursday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Machining: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CNC: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
