Capstone Construction works on projects throughout the southeast. Our core operations consist of commercial projects in retail, food service and light industrial properties. This role will lead job sites in central Florida. Depending on the stage of each project, this may require some overnight travel.

Job Description

A Superintendent with Capstone has the ability to gain experience in many aspects of the construction and development process.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively communicate with coworkers, vendors and subcontractors to supervise and coordinate management of construction projects
• Advocate safety as a priority on the job-site and enforce safety plans and regulations.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractor activity on the job-site.
• Manage and lead all construction operations on a job-site.
• Source and schedule materials to complete all projects within the construction schedule.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction experience, preferably experience with retail sites
• Current knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to management, owners, and subcontractors
• Ability to learn systems and processes quickly
• Prior track record of leading teams and projects
