Position Overview

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for leading project teams, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Your primary focus will be on overseeing the construction of various types of multifamily residential projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of the construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient execution of multifamily construction projects.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to achieve project goals while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Client Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate project risks, including issues related to safety, schedule delays, budget overruns, and regulatory compliance.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure profitability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Change Management:
    • Manage project changes effectively, including scope changes, design modifications, and client requests, while minimizing impact on project schedule and budget.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
    • Coordinate procurement activities, evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance, and negotiate contracts to secure the necessary resources for project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and building codes throughout the construction process.
  • Project Closeout:
    • Oversee the successful completion and closeout of projects, including final inspections, documentation, and client handover.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on multifamily residential projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and engage with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Outbuild, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to multifamily residential construction.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Familiarity with LEED and sustainable construction practices is a plus.
  • PMP certification or other relevant credentials are preferred but not required.
