We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of our multifamily construction projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multifamily housing construction projects from inception to completion. Working closely with the project management team, you will assist in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Contract Management:

• • Assist in the procurement process, including soliciting bids, reviewing contracts, and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
• Cost Control and Budget Management:

• • Monitor project expenses and track costs against budget allocations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• • Ensure that construction activities meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety protocols.
• Risk Management:

• • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project risks and implement measures to minimize their impact.
  • Assist in resolving any disputes or claims that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Team Leadership and Communication:

• • Collaborate with project team members to ensure clear communication and alignment of goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to onsite personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to achieving project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Previous experience in construction project management, preferably in multifamily housing or residential construction.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and best practices.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
