General Summary:
Under general supervision, perform a variety of tasks related to the PAS programs. The primary duties of this position are:
  • Recruiting potential Personal care attendants- Sourcing potential candidates from various channels (e.g., workforce solutions, schools, job fairs, and any other source that will lead to candidates
  • Work with all PAS staff to determine the needs for shifts or clients
  • Assist field staff in finding backups or covering shifts as needed
  • Screen, interview, run background checks, orient, and train all new employees
  • Follow up on attendant records to assure compliance with record-keeping standards.
  • Train attendants with hands-on experience, video, and any other means needed to provide knowledge for the attendant to be successful while adhering to company policies
  • Train attendants based upon common practices of transferring, Hoyerlift as well as all other tasks that are performed in a client's homes.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in compliance with agency policies
  • Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations with regard to patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Position may be called upon to perform other duties assigned.
Job Skills & Abilities:
Must have the ability to teach others and recognize talent levels. Must have the ability to follow instructions and be able to speak and understand the English language. Being bilingual is a plus.
Qualifications:
General:
Good verbal and written communication skills in English, and a good driving record. The ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
Physical:
Must be able to communicate verbally using a keyboard, and sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to get in and out of a car, and drive a car to perform various functions. Must be able to lift and carry up to thirty pounds.
Education & Training:
Minimum requirements: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completed CNA training OR verified equivalent experience in personal care.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of caregiving or CNA work.
Acceptable Experience (For NOT CNA certified):
  • Caregiver for a home care agency
  • Lead caregiver for a home care agency
  • Trained other caregivers at an agency/facility/community on proper techniques of care
  • Worked in a facility/community as a caregiver proving personal care
  • Experience as HHA/Bath aid
