Shift Lead Job Summary

You are the face of the company and will provide Uncompromising Standards of Quality and Service by ensuring hot food is always served hot, cold food is cold, all food is fresh, in a clean environment with a uniform and a warm smile.

Shift Lead Responsibilities

Delegate duties and fairly assign specific tasks to ensure Team Members are prepared for our guests.
Contributes to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments.
Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.
Follows all Capriotti’s procedures and operational policies, cash handling, sanitation, and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members and guests during each shift.
Assist with labor management costs.
Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Capriotti’s values and culture.
Must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of shop operations to assist where needed during assigned shift.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and ensure proper setup and breakdown of all areas, including the dining room, restrooms, cold stations, grill, and prep areas.
Work as a team to prepare for each shift.
Ability to manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities.
Maintains a positive work environment for Team Members and guests during each shift.

Shift Lead Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience ( 1yrs) including hot food prep, use of flat-top grill preferred.
Excellent guest service skills that emphasize our values of family and community.
Exceptional organizational skills to balance multiple tasks like food prep, inventory management, on-line orders, catering orders, cash management and equipment maintenance.
Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress confidently.
Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, trustworthy and strong work ethic.
Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and managers.
Flexible schedule; that includes nights and weekends.
At least 18 years of age.

Company Overview

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is a dynamic, Fast Casual restaurant company with over 150 shops and an aggressive growth plan. We are currently interviewing candidates for a Shift Lead position to help open and lead our Folsom Ranch location (3230 East Bidwell Street) that is under construction. This position is expected to start at the end of October or beginning of November.
