Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and visual equipment for various clients and locations. The AV Tech role, requires excellent customer service skills, an understanding of audio and visual systems, and the ability to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise. The ability to communicate and coordinate with other trades on an active construction site, renovation, or finished office/conference room environments is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, install, and operate audio visual equipment such as projectors, speakers, microphones, video screens, and other equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise and provide quick solutions
• Collaborate with clients to understand their audio visual needs and provide appropriate service.
• Maintain and repair audio visual equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of audio visual equipment, including hand tools, mechanical components, schematics, and cabling.
• Training and/or understanding of Liberty, Biamp, Crestron, and Poly systems is required.
• Willingness for some travel outside the Metro Detroit Area when necessary
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills
• Able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and accurately
• Physically able to stand for extended period of time and life up to 50lbs
• Experience in field service or similar role preferred
• Proficient in computer hardware and software related to audio visual systems
• Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
