    Team leaders are charged with leadership in the data process, departmental collaboration, sharing best instructional practices, and monitoring progress toward department and school goals. Team leaders are full-time teachers receiving a stipend for their leadership role. Team leader positions are posted internally and selected by building administrators.
    Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

      Coordinates and manages team activities and events such as field trips, parent conferences, grade-level functions, and vertical articulation activities.

      Requests and monitors the use of supplies and materials.

      Schedules and conducts team meetings.

      Assists with the development of school schedules and calendars.

      Coordinates the work of instructional assistants and parent volunteers.

      Participates with team members and other school staff in data analysis activities.

      Identifies needs related to the acquisition and use of instructional technologies.

      Assists in planning, coordinating and conducting testing.

      Serves as a resource to substitute teachers.

      Functions as the team's liaison with other service providers such as the literacy staff, special education resource personnel, ELL teachers, speech therapists, and interpreters.

      Performs other leadership duties as assigned by the building administrator.

    Qualifications and key attributes:

      Minimum of three years teaching experience

      Evidence of significant student achievement results

      Experience in team planning, cooperative learning, team teaching, and in a relevant leadership role desirable.

      Working knowledge of data analysis principles, and of technologies used in instruction and assessment.

      Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, parents, and students.

      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
