FT Concierge
Related Titles: Concierge, Concierge and Marketing, Reservations Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Marketing and Membership
Supervises: No supervisory duties in this position.
Classification:
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum one year of management experience, preferably in a restaurant.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Point of Sale systems; capable of creating Excel spread sheets.
Summary:
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting Members, Guests, and Callers. Interacts with guests daily and provides courteous and efficient service pertaining to any needs they may have. Answers questions concerning and/or giving directions to meeting rooms or events held in the Club.
Support the Membership and Marketing Department by providing Marketing and Merchandise support to the Membership Director.
Essential Functions:
Greets Members and Guests promptly and courteously
Directs and assists members and guests in locating daily private functions/events.
Directs Members and Guests to various areas of the Club
Assists in Special Requests made by Members and Guests
Administers Guest Passes and Guest Book
Announce Congressional Voting Bells over Intercom System
Oversees the Lobby and ensures that area is clean and neat
Maintains Coat Check and Lost and Found
Creates great first and last impressions
Security reports any security issues to management immediately
Coordinates Merchandise processing, upkeep and inventory including gift cards
Assists with updates to Club Website
Updates Daily Event Board and magnetic board
Other Duties as Assigned
Manages all reciprocal requests and concierge needs on a daily basis.
Manages the telephone communication to and from the concierge desk.
Assists with, performs and oversees all duties assigned by Director
Administrative support and duties as assigned by Director
Reports office equipment or fixtures not up to standards.
Participates in marketing assisting Director
Includes other duties as assigned.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, Physical Demands and Abilities:
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess good computational ability
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communication with guests, supervisors, and other employees
Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours of the day.
Knowledge of club’s dining reservations system and procedures.
Able to handle multiple tasks and pressure.
Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to keep composure during periods of high incoming phone calls and/or in-person requests.
Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch
and twist or reach.
Push, pull or lift up to 25lbs.
Continuous repetitive motions.
