Capitol Distributing is Hiring a Warehouse Operations Manager Near Caldwell, ID

Pay: $70,000 - $100,000/yr., plus bonus opportunity.
Who are we?
Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.
We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead operations across our distribution center. This position directs and oversees receiving, supply, fulfillment, & facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a leader in setting company culture, standards, and goals. This role will communicate and coordinate with transportation, procurement, sales, finance, HR, marketing, and kitchen leadership. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Schedule:
Capitol Distributing is a 24/7 warehouse. We strive to provide a healthy work/life balance to our employees while also ensuring we meet business needs. The Warehouse Operations Manager will be a full-time exempt employee assigned to a consistent schedule to meet business needs. This schedule can include days, swing, nights, and weekends.
Some of what you'll do as a Warehouse Operations Manager:
  • Develop and influence a culture of safety.
  • Execute the company mission, vision, values, strategies, and goals.
  • Coordinate receiving, put away, stocking, inventory control, credits, order planning, picking, loading, maintenance, facilities, equipment, technology, and processes.
  • Ability to independently solve complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and present strategies and goals that support company growth.
  • Develop programs, polices, and processes that improve culture, quality, and efficiency.
  • Prepare resources planning forecasting, budgets, and schedules.
  • Lead operations team in developing cohesive schedule to meet the needs of business.
  • Promote implementation of continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaboration across areas of the warehouse and among leadership teams.
  • Partner with HR to resolve conflicts and personnel issues in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Develop cost effective initiatives to enhance employee morale and engagement.
  • Measure established KPI’s to meet efficiency and quality standards to service our customers.
  • Provide performance results via checklists and documentation.
  • Track KPI’s daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly that tie to the P/L statements.
  • Benchmark industry standards to ensure business is operating at competitive advantage.
  • Other duties and project as assigned by Director of Operations'.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent working experience/certifications.
  • 5 years of experience working in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.
  • 5 years of leading employees, enforcing expectations, and assigning goals/objectives.
  • An ability to work in a warehouse including hot, cold, elevated, and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with software supporting supply chain operation systems (ex. ERP or WMS systems).
  • Experience implementing new technologies, systems, and processes in operations environment.
  • The ability to strongly communicate (verbal & written) for employee relations, presentations, negotiations, documenting SOP’s, and sharing company goals.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
  • Experience in managing schedules, timecards, and records.
  • The ability to multitask between responsibilities and projects.
  • The ability to be organized and delegate efficiently.
  • Experience operating company equipment such as a forklift, baler, conveyors, compactors.
  • The ability to lift to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend/twist, and be on your feet most of the day.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
