Coffee and Tea Equipment Technician

As an in-house coffee and tea equipment refurb technician, you work with equipment manufacturers and other technicians to repair and refurbish coffee and tea machines and related equipment. Your primary responsibility is to prep our equipment so that it can be placed in customer locations. Must have previous electrical or technical experience!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Diagnose and repair all Capitol Coffee equipment, while ensuring all safety protocols are followed

Clean coffee equipment as needed

Physical Requirements

Be on feet throughout the day

Able to walk, climb, balance, stoop and kneel

Able to use hand tools such as screw drivers and crimpers

Must be able to manipulate hands and arms to work on the inside of machines

Must be able to safely lift 50-100 pounds from ground to counter height

Load and unload equipment with an average weight of 50-100 pounds. Individual will be required to frequently push/pull a hand cart with up to 200 pounds up to distances of 500 feet

Able to climb into and out of truck cab and back of truck

Abide by company no alcohol/drug use policy

Able to withstand exposure to outside weather conditions

Competencies

Demonstrates exceptional technical skills and knowledge of coffee equipment

Able to maintain company records through use of smart phone, iPad, or laptop computer

Able to read and comprehend technical manuals

Able to comprehend technical training and training videos

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Possess excellent interpersonal skills

Strong oral and written communicator

Works well as both an individual contributor and as a team member

Displays ability and willingness to make decisions

Exhibits sound and accurate judgment

Professional appearance and demeanor

Observe safety and security procedures
