Under the supervision of an Associate Director, this position performs painting, grass cutting, trim work, light maintenance to improve university facilities and equipment.

The position is less than ¾ time (19 hours a week) during the first shift this summer from May 6 to August 22.

Responsibilities :

• Performs minor maintenance, repair, alteration to buildings, room painting and touch ups.
• Performs grass cutting, edge trimming, exterior debris collection, and plant bed maintenance.
• Assists in the painting of vacated resident student housing and university facilities.

Qualifications :

• Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalency.
• No experience in maintenance or grounds is required.
• On the job training will be provided to include appropriate safety practices.
• Ability to handle exposure to : dirt, dust, and grease, electricity, and climatic weather. Equipment that has moving parts and loud noise.
• Physical Requirements : ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Compensation : $15 an hour, no benefits
