Capital Technology Resources is Hiring a Technical Specialist Near Yucca, AZ

CTR is seeking Technical Specialist with experience and knowledge of industrial automation facilities and automation systems which could include PLC's, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems, electronics, high voltage electrical and/or HVAC to support our customer, Harley-Davidson, at a test facility located in Yucca, AZ.

Job Summary

  • Setting up, maintaining, repairing, and improving the test equipment located in a test lab conducting a variety of highly technical engineering tests.
  • This position requires competence in a variety of disciplines which can include maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and configuring systems commonly used in industrial automation applications such as PLC's, VFD's, motor controllers, pneumatic actuators, hydraulics, and basic electronic systems including instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge and experience related to programming PLC's including ladder logic is highly desirable.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of PLC's (RS Logix 5000, ControlLogix, etc.) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems such as motion controllers, servos, VFD's, etc. highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocol networking devices (ethernet, Sercos, DeviceNet, ControlNet, etc) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of industrial pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with repairing industrial HVAC systems a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with high voltage industrial electrical equipment a plus.
  • Experience using dynamic and static test instrumentation and their calibration.
  • Computer skills with basic competence in spreadsheets, word processing, electronic mail, etc. is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, data graphs, schematics, and instrumentation (scopes, gauges, spectrum analyzers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of associate degree in Electronic, electrical, mechanical, technology, or equivalent military training, applicable technical training certificates or suitable experience.
  • A minimum of two years' experience will be required with an associate degree, seven years applicable experience without a degree. Technical Training certificate and experience relevance to be reviewed upon application.

Safety

  • Must be able to lift motorcycle weight from parked position to upright riding position.
  • Coordination of normal mental dexterity and visual attention. Must have good vision, hearing and motor skills as well as general good physical condition.
  • This position can involve varied work hours at times and could potentially be on call for emergencies.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Must demonstrate good team skills, and the ability to work with and learn from others.
  • Must be willing to travel off site as needed. Overnight travel may be deemed necessary.
  • Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested

Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free.
