You are responsible for developing a team of Special Assets Officers and Administrators that drive mission led performance. You'll empower teams to execute and support our Small Business Customers and internal partners. You are accountable for Credit and Operational Strategy for the team, Associate experience, and well managed performance activities. You are a leader in the organization and responsible for maintaining Capital One's high standard of excellenceThis individual will also partner with horizontal business partners, project teams, process engineers, data and product teams to improve process efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and controls.General Responsibilities:Responsible for partnering with your team of SAOs to create restructuring/loss mitigation strategies for criticized loans.Be capable of applying credit officer, asset management and risk management disciplinesBe proficient in commercial real estate financial analysis and loan structuring, as well as commercial property valuation and Small Business Administration (SBA) Loans.Have experience and knowledge around legal documentation, loan covenants, rights and remedies in the event of default, receivership and bankruptcy scenarios, and restructuring strategies for Commercial and Small Business Administration Loans.Utilize expertise in Special Assets to ensure Capital One is leveraging the best practices of its peers and proactively evolving the policies and programs employed by the BankBe capable of working closely with and influencing senior business and risk management leaders when creating, revising or implementing Special Assets workout strategiesSet the Operational Strategy for your teamsDemonstrate integrated strategic and tactical thinking to make the right tradeoffs that balance the team and broader organizational perspectivesOperate confidentially in 'gray operational space'Ownership for service levels, risk and compliance, and regulatory policies and proceduresIdentify, recruit, develop, and retain top talentDevelop and deliver on short and long term plans to effectively execute team-based service levels and operational performanceBuild strong relationships and work extensively with the optimization leadership team and horizontal partners to ensure business objectives are met while effectively managing operations objectives centered around controls, risk management, compliance and operational integrity.Maintain and foster relationships with key lines of business partners throughout the organization, and identify opportunities to improve end to end processes that lead to stronger and better customer and associate experiences.Lead a customer centric culture, drive continuous innovation, and champion changeDrive a culture that creates high performance and strong associate engagement at all levelsServing as a leader of leaders, a mentor, a knowledge resource, and an escalation point for associates.Setting team goals in alignment with organizational objectives.
