Description

We are looking for a full-time 40 hours a week groundskeeper. This position is benefit eligible and is Monday through Friday 7am to 4:30pm starting at $16 per hour and may be more based on prior experience.

The groundskeeper is responsible for lawn and garden care of the facility and to help promote a healthy culture for other residents and staff. Experience with all aspects of irrigation maintenance is preferred. This position will help maintain our community's grass, common areas, parking lots, and yards. Using equipment such as lawnmowers, power washers, and general landscaping equipment.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
  • Must have general working knowledge of landscaping and the equipment and tools that are used in landscaping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works outdoors; must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the work day; must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently; must be able to push and pull lawn equipment weighing up to 85 lbs. independently; must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the work day. Must be able to see, hear, and speak. Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and adverse weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Applies fertilizers and herbicides to campus lawns, shrubs.
