Capital Kids Childcare is Hiring a Daycare Teacher Near Olympia, WA

Capital Kids Childcare is looking to hire full and part time childcare teachers.

General Requirements

  • Be committed toward creating a safe and loving environment for children.
  • Willingness to grow and have flexibility toward meeting the needs of children and the center.
  • Know the goals and objectives for Capital Kids Childcare.
  • Willingness to support staff and be a team player.

A teacher will be required to have or go through training to obtain:

  • CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne pathogens training (center will pay for)
  • 30 hours of Basic Childcare Training (center will pay for)
  • Completed Fingerprinting/Background check with center requirements through merit.
  • Current TB test on File.
  • MMR vacinations
  • Food Handler's Permit (center will pay for)

Responsibilities of Teachers:

  • Support the Director by being able to communicate effectively to families the needs, behaviors, and developments of the child.
  • Complete Curriculum training provided and apply curriculum throughout the day to class assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with others by communicating effectively, being a team player that is flexible, kind, and has a heart to serve.
  • Interact with children in a way that is patient, nurturing, and loving.
  • Understand that you are a mandated reporter. Report to director any signs of neglect & abuse.
  • Continue Professional development that is needed for ongoing certification/requirements annually.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are professional, ethical, and responsible.
  • Understand that you will need to be able to actively engage with students and get down at their level.
  • Flexibility as a team player and be coachable as needed for the needs of the center.
  • Interact with children which require respect and nurturing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
