Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related discipline. Eighteen years of related job experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Five years of management experience with time of service collection, patient registration, charge entry, use of electronic medical records, or operations. In addition, two years of experience in healthcare operations environment. Project management experience and project management or CMPE certification preferred.
Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment; possess high-level understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding; ability to run and interpret billing, coding and revenue reports; knowledge of third party and insurance company operating procedures, billing requirements and regulation.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Proficiency with PowerPoint.
A high degree of professionalism and confidence required. Demonstrated ability to establish successful relationships with internal and external customers and senior leadership. Ability to navigate complex work environments, manage multiple demands, communication, and interactions effectively in a fast-paced industry. Ability to relate well to physicians, administrators, managers and other staff; as well as with other departments on education and process improvement activities.
