Competent, Eager Service Advisor

We are looking for a competent, friendly parts advisor to join our automotive shop. The individual in this role would act as the point of contact for our automotive customers, from initial greet, to cataloging, to payment. Alongside our team, we will work with the Shop to create invoices, orders and procure the parts needed to get the jobs completed.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate and patient attitude, and the ability to perform basic math skills.

Parts Counter Duties and Responsibilities

· Greet customers and technicians upon arrival to the parts department

· Develop as many solution methods as possible, attempting to keep costs low

· Track maintenance or repair status, fill out reports on parts and cost of all services

· Perform customer service duties i.e. answering the phone, scheduling service appointments, and calling customers to inform them their parts are ready for pick up

· Manage shop workflow and schedule for mechanics and technicians

Parts Advisor Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· 2 year in the automotive industry preferred

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills

· Ability to explain complicated automotive concepts to visitors who may not be familiar with industry terminology

· Compassionate, patient demeanor

· Problem solving/critical thinking skills

· Additional duties as assigned by manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,200.00 - $120,000.00 per year
