The Capital District YMCA is seeking Full and Part-Time Resident Advocates for our Men's Residence Program. Under the general direction of the Director of the Residence, the Resident Advocate I provides support services to the participants of the Residence Program.

REQUIREMENTS:

• HS/GED required.
• Some college in counseling, social work or related field preferred.
• Valid NYS License is also preferred.

Scheduled shifts:

• Full Time Schedule: Sun 6a - 2:30p, Mon 8a-4:30p, Tues 2p-10:30p, Thurs 8a-4:30p and Fri 2p-10-30p
• Part Time Schedule: Thurs 2p-10:30p, Sat 6a-2:30p and Sun 2p 10:30p

Full time position with full benefits that include Medical, Dental, Vision, generous paid time off.

Part time position comes with paid sick leave and free single membership.

Starting rate is $14.20 per hour.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Prior work experience with the adult male mental health population.

Education

• High School Diploma/GED or better

• Some college or better in Social Work or related field
