Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides a central role in the care of the patient and works to enhance quality of life in addition to assisting with all activities of daily living. The CNA works under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care and support to patients and their families in a home or facility setting. The CNA follows the care plan and communicates any needs or changes to the RN. The person in this position may function as an extension of Capital Caring Health's professional services using written instruction, appropriate supervision, and specialized hospice training.
Location: Largo, MD
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal care for patients and assists with activities of daily living but demonstrating competencies specific to enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families. May be asked to rotate to other regions/departments.
Experience RequirementsMust have recent experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in a comparable capacity (i.e. hospice, assisted living, hospital). Personal care experience is preferred.
Education Requirements
Must have a certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Aide training Program. In addition, registration is required by the appropriate Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Required Certificates and/or LicensesMust have licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice. Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A CHPNA certification is a plus.
Driver's License
Must have a driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
