Position PurposeCapital Bank is looking for a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Intern to join our team. The Commercial Real Estate Intern will work within the CRE Lending Division and will support activities within the Bank's largest loan portfolio. The role will work with the entire team including the producing lender, Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Associate and Lending Assistant to support and learn about all facets of the lending process from prospect to closing. In addition, the role will take part in day-to-day activities in support of existing customers.Position Responsibilities

• Work with the Lender and Portfolio Manager to prepare loan memorandums for administrative changes/notations.
• Shadow the Commercial Lender and Portfolio Associate on property inspections.
• Work with the team to understand what Loan Packages consist of and directly work on preparing loan packages for submission & approvals.
• Work directly with customers and prospective customers to obtain information as needed.
• Work with the team to prepare & organize financial information & analysis for borrowers.
• Provide administrative support for the team as needed.
• Attend various Loan Committees to gain an understanding of the loan approval process and understand the nuances of the business.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a relative field.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in the Microsoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Above average verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
