JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Medium EM Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing vehicle testing activities, analyzing vehicle data, and ensuring the readiness of test vehicles. Your responsibilities will include instrumentation of vehicles, submission of test requests, and collaboration with various teams to achieve program objectives. Working within a small team of Test Engineers, you will contribute to the success of vehicle programs by maintaining test vehicle readiness and delivering accurate test data to analysis engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Test Vehicle Readiness: Coordinate hardware and calibration updates to ensure test vehicles are ready for testing activities.
• Instrument Vehicles for Data Collection: Perform instrumentation of vehicles to collect data during testing, ensuring proper functionality of instrumentation before test execution.
• Create Work Orders: Generate work orders for mechanical and electrical updates in designated garage areas to support testing activities.
• Submit Test Requests: Prepare and submit test requests for fuel economy and environmental testing, coordinating with scheduling and dynamometer teams to execute tests.
• Perform Data Validation: Conduct initial validation of test data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Deliver Test Data: Deliver test data to analysis engineers for further evaluation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Test Team: Work closely with a small team of Test Engineers to achieve program objectives and deadlines.
• Customer Coordination: Coordinate with customers to acquire data and support vehicle programs effectively.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in vehicle testing and data analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in instrumentation techniques and data validation processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in automotive testing or related fields.
• Familiarity with environmental testing procedures and regulations.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and performance evaluation.
