Job Responsibilities As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will: Serves as the Lead Security Engineer establishing goals and plans that meet program objectives
Utilizing domain and expert technical knowledge, the Lead Security Engineer provides technical leadership for the overall program developing security plans, policies, and designs
Provide Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) support for new and existing customer enclaves
Provide Security Impact Analyses and Risk Scoring for systems and connections
Review Security Technical Implementation Guideline (STIG) scores and recommend mitigations
Complete Security Compliance Assessment Program (SCAP) scans and analyze results
Follow RMF, NIST and US Government guidelines for providing Information Security for network and system assets
Monitor and participate in Vulnerability Management (VM) of network and system assets
Create, revise, and review system security documentation (System Security Plans [SSP]; Plan of Actions and Milestones [POAMs]; Instructions; Standard Operating Procedures [SOPs]; Tools, Techniques and Processes, [TTPs]; Polices, etc.)
Provide security training and education to all personnel
Work with System and Network administrators to provide guidance pertaining to Cyber Security best practices and remediating vulnerabilities
Develop and perform technical presentations for customers
Serve as technical resource at customer briefings Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Eligibility
IAT Level I and/or IAM Level III
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
MS Degree in Computer Science or Ten years’ experience in Information Assurance and Cyber Security related fields.
Five years within the past ten years’ experience with IC, DOD, or Army assessment and authorization practices and processes under ICD 503 Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implementing NIST 800-53 security controls for U.S. Government networks and applications
Three years within the past five years of demonstrated experience conducting security evaluations for systems and applications; publishing RMF Body of Evidence(s) (BOE), supporting security control assessment validation activities, and successfully achieving ATO for referenced U.S. Government systems
One year within the past three years of experience creating and implementing a Continuous Monitoring plan IAW NIST 800-53
One year within the past three years of experience designing and implementing security solutions in a multi-tenant Windows and Linux environment on commercial cloud service providers (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).
Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures
Ability to manage at a Platform level
Hands-On Experience with Agile System Development methodologies
Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
