The Focus of Your Role
Our Lead Platform Engineers roll up their sleeves and drive automation and infrastructure-as-code transformations.
You will turn Product Owners visions into reality, transforming developers experiences and enabling organisations to make the most from cloud-native technologies.
You will work with strategy, enterprise architecture, and application colleagues across Capgemini and drive cloud-based engagements.
As a servant leader, you will facilitate your teams, collaborating with others, to find the best way to progress.
You will attract, encourage, and develop our engineers, promoting the fun and excitement of leveraging the latest and best technology.
Relevant and broad, practical IT experience of the cloud technologies, infrastructure and operations leveraged by software engineers, data engineers and data scientists.
A deep knowledge of cloud-native tools, languages and methods with track record of delivering several large-scale cloud-based engagements
Expertise in providing design & consulting covering cloud hyperscalers infrastructure, availability, security, scalability, operability and extensibility
Professional Certifications in either AWS, Azure or GCP
Good experience in Terraform, Ansible and Python
Detailed understanding of cloud governance, billing and optimisation, and target operating models
Experience of application discovery and dependency mapping as part of migration and rationalisation activities
Experience of upgrades, consolidation as well as new deployments, leveraging IaC technologies
Ability to build and maintain CICD pipelines focused on infrastructure
Experience of using container and orchestration services such as Docker and Kubernetes, ideally CKA
Experience with application and infrastructure management, monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and integrations with Slack and Teams
A willingness to contribute your ideas and opinion on the latest industry trends
