Department: Beach Plum Bakery & Cafe - West End Garage

Position: Barista 

Reports To: Beach Plum Café Manager

Position Overview: Responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products.

These duties may be described as, but not limited to:

  • Greet customers in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Use Register/POS system. Take money for purchases and give correct change.
  • Assist with stocking coffee shop area.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining area.
  • Answer questions from customers on products.
  • Support with answering telephone in a professional manner.
  • Barista responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Good grammar, voice, and diction. 
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills. 
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful). 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • One to two years in a customer service position.
