Job Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (Registry eligible) will be responsible for delivering all physicians ordered quality Respiratory Care Services to patients of all ages in. Settings include the Critical Care Unit, Telemetry and Pediatric Units and Emergency Department.
The Respiratory Therapist will be an essential and active part of the multidisciplinary patient care team to provide the highest quality healthcare to our community.
Essential Functions
- Airway Management: Intubation, extubation, bronchochsopy and bedside tracheostomies assistance, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, medication delivery, chest physical therapy.
- Blood gas acquisition and analyzation to include Arterial line insertion
- Participation in Rapid Response and Code Teams
- Patient and family teaching
Experience Required
- Current NJ state Respiratory Therapist license
- AS/BS Degree, Graduate of an CoARC accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current BLS for Health Care Provider
- ACLS certification (within 6 months)
- NRP certification (within 6 months)
