• Position is Non-Exempt, Full Time (40 hours/week), 12 months
• Pay Rate: Commensurate with related-experience and qualifications, up to $37.00/hour

Agency Overview:
CAPE, Inc. headquarters is in Livermore, and provides early childhood education services (Head Start and Early Head Start preschool programs) in Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, and Hayward areas. Position Overview: The Operations/Facilities Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as assist with facility-related projects at all CAPE Child Development Centers, interprets State, Federal and CCL Licensing regulations and ensures compliance of them through oversight of an on-going monitoring system. The Operations/Facilities Supervisor will oversee agency-wide planning, development of new projects, and safety compliance.
The responsibilities of the Operations/Facilities Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:
• Plan, coordinate, monitor and supervise implementation of all day-to-day center-based activities.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety standards in CAPE centers.
• Oversee and assist with monitoring centers for safety and development of plans for improvement
and training
• Oversee and assist with the licensing process for new centers.
• Responsible for ensuring that facilities meet all California Dept. of Education Childcare
Division and State Licensing Title XXII regulations, and related Head Start Performance
Standards.
• Oversee, coordinate and implement preventative maintenance plans
• Serve as a resource person for Head Start, Early Head Start and the State Preschool
programs during self-assessments.
• Participate as part of the agency management team to assist in agency wide planning,
development of new projects and creation of linkages and partnerships in the
community.
• Represent CAPE at local, regional and state activities.
• All other duties as assigned and required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirement:
AA degree plus 5 years supervisory experience in operations/facilities.
Experience:
• Five years relevant work experience, at least two years in a supervisory capacity
• Computer skills, familiarity with MS Word/Windows and Child Plus
• Knowledge of theory and principles of early childhood education, and developmentally
appropriate, emergent type curriculum
• Excellent organizational skills
• Bi-lingual skills desirable
• Knowledge of the needs and problems of low-income families and demonstrated
ability to work effectively with them
• Experience with ethnic and cultural diversity
Physical Demands:
• While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand,
walk, sit, use hands and fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with
hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, and taste
or smell.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 50 pounds
occasionally.
• Specific vision ability required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The work environment characteristics involve a moderate amount of noise
