Provide effective public health nursing services; conduct educational programs, public health studies and community assessments; administer treatment, medication, and immunizations; effectively apply negotiating and problem solving techniques; interpret and comply with federal and state public health laws and regulations; effectively operate necessary equipment; prepare and maintain reports; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to understand and follow directions in exact detail; deal effectively and courteously with associates and the general public; perform effectively as a member of the team in carrying out the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center’s stated mission and philosophy; perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of others.

Individual will work 3 days per week 7.5-hour days. One day per week will be working in our Rural Health Clinic (Fridays). Other days will be working with various programs and clients in our other program areas which include: immunizations, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy testing, and general nursing duties.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
