Cape Eleuthera Island School is Hiring a Semester & Summer Term Associate Director of Admissions Near Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Philadelphia-based team as the Semester & Summer Term Associate Director of Admissions. This multifaceted position requires significant travel, skills in digital, written and oral communications, demonstrated administrative skills, event coordination, and strong organizational skills. The Semester & Summer Term Associate Director of Admissions will serve as the primary contact for all applicants and their families, aid in the recruitment and application process of prospective Island School students, and support program-related marketing efforts. This position will report to the Semester & Summer Term Director of Admissions, while working collaboratively with peers at the Cape Eleuthera Foundation and The Island School. The anticipated office start date for this position is August 1, 2024 with an option to begin July 20, 2024 to participate in an on-island orientation program.

Responsibilities (this is an overview of the position; responsibilities are not limited to the following)

  • Manage and work alongside the Semester & Summer Term Admissions Associate
  • Oversee admissions operations; prepare content for admissions season, manage working applications, lead decision-making process, maintain enrollment
  • Respond to admissions-specific email and phone inquiries from interested and current partnership programs, schools, and students and families
  • Oversee completion of incoming Semester & Summer Term enrollment paperwork received through email, airSlate, and postal mail
  • Manage working Semester and Summer Term applications, and co-lead application reading and committee
  • Assist with planning and execution of admission events; including in-person and virtual nationwide events and school visits
  • Outreach to new schools and organizations in lieu of extending general admission reach
  • Work alongside Director of Admissions to support partner organizations and scholarship families
  • Engage in Tuition Assistance process alongside Admissions and Finance Teams
  • Travel nationwide to execute Admissions-related events during recruiting season running from September - February
  • Alongside Alumni Relations Manager, strategize ways to incorporate program alumni during the admissions season
  • General support, when necessary, for on-island and stateside events throughout the year (Family Weekend, Conferences, Board Meetings, Reunions, other Island School programming, etc.)

General Office & Communications Support

  • General office administrative work; inclusive of responding to general phone calls and emails
  • Oversees all materials and messaging for Semester & Summer Term admissions-related communications and marketing; inclusive of social media
  • Contribute to the production of internal publications, alumni newsletters, college matriculation, and organizational updates

Skills & Qualifications

  • A university degree and/or an equivalent combination of education
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in Philadelphia or Boston
  • A valid passport and ability to travel frequently throughout the United States and The Bahamas
  • Previous experience in admissions is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Experience in leadership role and managing others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage with age groups ranging from high school students and up
  • Comfortable with public speaking in front of age groups ranging from high school students and up
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to accommodate delegated tasks
  • Values and successfully navigates both independent projects and group collaborations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, MailChimp
  • Experience with Salesforce and airSlate is preferred
