Cape Cod Healthcare is Hiring a Waitstaff Near Plymouth, MA

  • Maintaining proper sanitation levels throughout the food preparation process, service and storage and of equipment and work areas.
  • Utilizing interventions when appropriate to meet the needs of residents and the facility in accordance with current applicable Heritage, Federal, State and Local Standards, Guidelines and Regulations;

and to follow our established policies and procedures as directed.

  • Possesses working knowledge of serving fundamentals and follows polices that will effectively maintain food service program and services for Heritage.
  • Executes department practices, procedures, safety regulations, and maintains required sanitary levels throughout food preparation, sanitation and storage guidelines.
  • Assists in dishwashing functions, sweeping and mopping daily, removing trash, keeping all work areas clean, and assisting in putting away deliveries.
  • Receives, follows and ensures that all food service schedules are followed as outlined by supervisor.
  • Assures that the kitchen areas and equipment are properly maintained for convenience and safety, and operating to manufacturer's specifications.

Reports and assists in identifying and correcting problem areas and equipment, and / or improvement of services, when applicable.

  • Participates in programs designed for in-service education, on the job training and orientation classes.
  • Adheres to department working hours, maintains proper attendance and punctuality, and completing assignments within guidelines set by supervisor.

Is flexible and willing to cover various functions and shifts, working weekends and holidays.

Follows OSHA regulations in bending, lifting, and using equipment. When applicable, wears and / or uses safety equipment and supplies, using proper mechanics while performing duties (e.

g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc. when moving or lifting heavy objects).

  • Adheres to Universal Precautions and Infection Control Policies, including following established hand washing procedures, use of appropriate PPE and supplies when handling infectious materials.
  • Keeps work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease / oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules / regulations are followed at all times.

Refers to materials safety when necessary and follows established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.

  • Reports all accidents / incidents to your supervisor according to established procedure.
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, and other departments within Heritage, to assure that all functions can be properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of Heritage.
  • Drives Heritage vehicle for errands, transporting, or other uses as directed.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information. Reports known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure and reports known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Executive Director.
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested by the Executive Director and / or designee to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.*
  • Consistently provides service excellence to all residents, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Heritage at Falmouth's commitment to CARES : compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Wait staff experience preferred.
  • Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
