About the Account Executive in Logistics Role

As an Account Executive with CAP Logistics in the greater Los Angeles Area, you will help generate revenue by developing leads and targeting potential customer accounts, while maintaining and increasing revenue through existing accounts. This is accomplished through superior customer service and creating strong, on-going relationships with customers within an assigned territory.

Account Executive in Logistics Essential Functions:

• Build and maintain customer accounts within assigned territory, to include regular in-person meetings and correspondence with customers regarding needs and services
• Identify and target potential customers within assigned territory
• Conducts market research, as needed
• Schedule, attend, and document all outside sales calls
• Work with customers to identify current and future needs and proposes services to meet established needs
• Work to resolve customer issues, such as service failures, invoicing and freight payment issues
• Understand the services provided by the company, and able to present and suggest services to new and existing customers
• Utilize the Client Assessment Form to qualify accounts
• Update and maintain customer profiles
• Negotiate contracts with new and existing customers
• Travel to assigned territory locations and national account possibilities
• Review quotes for assigned customers and work with operations to secure the business, as necessary
• Work with various departments and affiliated companies, including the CAP operations and the ground transportation departments, to meet customer expectations
• Attend all required sales meetings
• Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external regulations, including TSA regulations
